Scope
What this material is supplied for, and who it is supplied to.
What does “research use only” mean for material bought here?
It states the scope we sell within: laboratory investigation. The designation is a declaration by the supplier about what material is sold for, and it carries obligations for us rather than being a disclaimer attached to a label.
In practice it governs how products are described, who they are sold to, what documentation travels with them, and how questions are answered. All of that is set out in the research use terms.
Research use termsWho can purchase?
Academic, institutional and independent researchers. Every order requires the purchaser to certify their status and the scope the material will be used within, and that certification is recorded against the order with a timestamp.
Why do some products use codes rather than compound names?
Two products are listed under our own product codes, GLP2 (T) and GLP3 (R). The codes are what appear on the label, the certificate and the lot number, so the documentation is internally consistent from the vial through to the analysis.
Testing and documentation
The part worth checking before buying from anyone, including us.
Who performs the analysis?
Bioviridian Inc., an analytical laboratory in Bryan, Texas. We name them because a certificate that does not identify the laboratory that produced it cannot be checked, and an unverifiable certificate is worth nothing.
Is the laboratory independent, or in-house?
Bioviridian is an outside third party. They are not the manufacturer, and they have no stake in the result.
The distinction matters more than it might appear. A manufacturer testing its own output is reporting on itself; an independent laboratory is not. Many suppliers describe in-house testing in language that implies otherwise.
Does every batch get its own certificate, or is one certificate reused?
Every batch is tested and carries its own certificate. When material arrives from a new lot it is tested again and the lot number changes, so a certificate always describes the specific batch a vial came from.
A certificate representing a typical batch rather than the one in front of you is a known problem in this category. Ours are per batch.
Can I verify a certificate with the laboratory directly?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Certificates can be checked against Bioviridian directly rather than taken on our word.
Fabricated certificates are a real problem in this industry. An invitation to verify costs an honest supplier nothing.
What is tested on every lot?
For peptides: identity by LC-MS/MS, purity by HPLC, bacterial endotoxin to USP <85>, and heavy metals to USP <232>. Each is a separate question about the material and none substitutes for the others.
How to read a certificate of analysisIs the reconstitution solution tested too, or only the peptides?
It carries its own certificate, tested as its own product rather than covered by the certificate of whatever it is used with.
The current certificate covers identity by LC-MS/MS, purity by HPLC, benzyl alcohol content, and pH.
Reconstitution SolutionWhy does purity show “pending” on some products?
Because the figure for that lot is not yet in our hands. A number appears when it has been measured and not before.
Every supplier in this category quotes a purity figure. Publishing one we cannot evidence would make ours worth exactly as much as the ones that are invented.
How do I check the lot number on a vial?
The lot number is printed on the vial label and identifies the exact batch it came from. Entering it returns the analysis for that batch rather than for the product line.
Look up a lot numberWhat does a certificate not tell me?
It records measurements taken on a stated date. It documents the condition of that batch at that moment and does not predict future condition — what happens afterwards is determined by storage.
It also cannot speak to anything it did not measure. A purity figure says nothing about which molecule is present; that is what the identity test is for. Reading a certificate well is mostly a matter of knowing which question each line answers.
What each instrument actually provesThe material
How it arrives, and how it is stored sealed.
Why does material ship freeze-dried?
Water drives the routes by which peptides break down. Freeze-drying removes most of it, which is why material ships as a sealed solid rather than a solution, and why it tolerates transit far better in that form.
Why peptides ship freeze-driedHow should sealed vials be stored?
Cold, dry and dark, in the sealed container as supplied. Temperature is the strongest single lever over how long material keeps, and light and moisture are the other two.
Storage temperature and shelf lifeHow long does a sealed vial keep?
Each vial carries a manufacture date and an expiry date, printed on the vial. The dating is two years from manufacture.
That figure assumes the container stays sealed and stored as above. A date is an expectation derived from stability data, not a measurement of the vial in your possession.
Ordering and shipping
When do orders dispatch?
Orders made before 2pm Pacific dispatch the same day.
Where do orders ship from?
Southern California.
How long will delivery take?
Dispatch is the part we control, and it is same day on orders made before 2pm Pacific. Tracking is emailed when the parcel leaves.
After that the carrier's own estimate is the accurate one.
Is the packaging discreet?
The outside is unbranded and does not identify the contents. Inside, vials ship sealed and lyophilized in protective packaging.
ShippingDo you ship internationally?
Not at present. Orders ship within the United States only.
What if tracking stops updating?
Ten business days with no movement is the point at which a parcel is worth chasing rather than waiting on. Contact us with your order number and we will open a claim with the carrier.
What if a shipment arrives damaged, or a seal is compromised?
Contact us before the material is used in any work. An intact seal is what keeps the contents matching their certificate; once that is in question, the documentation no longer describes what arrived.
Refunds and returnsDo you accept returns?
Where an item arrived damaged, a seal was compromised, or the wrong item shipped. Claims reach us within 48 hours of delivery, with the order number and photographs of the item, the shipping label and the outer packaging.
Unopened vials only. Once a seal is broken there is no way to establish how the contents were stored, and the certificate stops describing what is in the vial — which is the same reason the seal matters in the first place.
Refunds and returnsVolume and institutional purchasing
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Yes. Email sales@elitesynthetics.co with the compounds and quantities you need and we will quote.
Can an institution buy on a purchase order?
Get in touch at sales@elitesynthetics.co and we will arrange it. Institutional purchasing runs differently from card checkout and we would rather set it up properly with you than have you work around the storefront.
Do you handle tax-exempt institutional sales?
Yes, for buyers holding valid exemption or resale documentation. Email sales@elitesynthetics.co with your certificate and we will verify it before your first order.
Exemption relates to the buyer's tax status. It does not alter the research use terms, which apply to every order regardless.
Contacting us
How quickly will I get a reply?
Within one business day.
What can you answer about a product?
Anything on its certificate, and anything about how the material is documented, stored or shipped. Technical questions are answered from the analysis for the lot in question.
