Accessibility Statement
Effective [to be confirmed]
We want this site to be usable by everyone. This page states what we target, what we have actually done, and what we know is still imperfect.
What we aim for
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Conforming to 2.2 also means conforming to 2.1 and 2.0.
Accessibility is treated as part of building each feature, not as a pass before launch.
What we have done
Color contrast is measured rather than judged by eye. Two of our brand colors are used only as fills, never as text on light backgrounds, because they do not meet the contrast threshold at text sizes.
Every interactive control is reachable by keyboard and shows a visible focus indicator.
Pointer targets meet the 24 by 24 pixel minimum, and most are considerably larger.
Animation respects your system's reduced-motion setting, and the site provides its own control that overrides it in either direction.
Meaning is never carried by color alone.
The site is built from semantic HTML, with ARIA used only where no native element does the job.
What we do not do
We do not use an accessibility overlay widget. Those products are opposed by the accessibility community and have not prevented litigation against the sites using them.
Our preferences panel is a convenience layer over markup that is accessible without it. It is not the reason this site is accessible, and we will not describe it that way.
Known gaps
Third-party components on the checkout are styled by us but not authored by us, and we do not control every detail of their markup.
This statement will be updated as we test further.
Reporting a barrier
If something on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us at sales@elitesynthetics.co. Describe what you were trying to do and what happened. We will respond and, where we can, fix it.
